Terms & Conditions

Effective date: June 1, 2025

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and membership services of The Menopause Association ("TMA," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing this site or becoming a member, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Eligibility & membership

Membership is intended for healthcare practitioners and professionals who serve women in midlife, and others approved by TMA. Membership and any associated dues are administered through our membership platform. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account details current.

2. Dues & payments

Membership dues, where applicable, are described at the point of enrollment. Unless stated otherwise, dues are billed on the cycle presented at signup. You are responsible for any fees associated with your chosen membership. Refund and cancellation terms, if any, are presented during enrollment.

3. Educational content — not medical advice

The materials, articles, and resources provided by TMA are for general educational and informational purposes only. They are not medical advice, do not establish a provider-patient relationship, and are not a substitute for professional clinical judgment. Practitioners remain solely responsible for the care of their patients.

4. Intellectual property

The site and its content, design, and trademarks are owned by TMA or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Content you submit for publication (such as interview-based articles) may be published and promoted by TMA in connection with your membership; you retain ownership of your underlying expertise and grant TMA a license to publish and distribute the resulting materials.

5. Acceptable use & member conduct

6. Partnerships & sponsorships

TMA receives dues, sponsorship, and partnership fees, which support our services and help keep membership dues affordable. TMA does not endorse or recommend any product, service, or device exclusively. Partner relationships exist to introduce members to relevant innovations and are disclosed accordingly.

7. Third-party links

The site may link to third-party websites or services that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The site and services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TMA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or services.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TMA and its officers, directors, and agents from claims arising out of your use of the site, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Changes & governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [INSERT STATE], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
